Recently, the Shaoxing converter station completed its 6th annual comprehensive maintenance, laying a solid foundation for ensuring power supply during this summer's peak electricity consumption period in Zhejiang and the Hangzhou Asian Games.
Zhejiang is a province with high energy consumption and low resources, and foreign electricity accounts for more than one-third of the highest load in the province. Adding to the key tasks of ensuring electricity supply during the Hangzhou Asian Games and summer peak season, the task of ensuring electricity supply in Zhejiang this summer has become even more challenging. In this annual maintenance, State Grid Zhejiang Ultra High Voltage Company, based on daily operation and maintenance experience and anti accident measures investigation, carried out maintenance on new equipment such as converter transformer lifting seats installed in Shaoxing converter station in recent years. The operation and maintenance personnel of State Grid Zhejiang Ultra High Voltage Company have installed 70 visible light cameras in the DC field and AC filter field, and connected them to the panoramic video fusion system of the converter station to improve the information perception ability of the system. The panoramic video fusion system initially has four functions: self perception and digital expression, equipment status analysis and diagnosis, accident response, and intelligent control, which can help improve the efficiency of operation and inspection.
The Shaoxing converter station is a ± 800 kV Lingshao DC receiving end converter station, which was put into operation in August 2016. The project starts from Lingzhou Converter Station in Yinchuan, Ningxia, passes through 6 provinces (regions), and ends at Shaoxing Converter Station in Zhuji, Zhejiang. The total length of the line is 1720 kilometers. As the main artery of the "West East Power Transmission", the Lingshao DC project has maintained stable operation with a large load of 7200 megawatts for a long time, continuously sending wind and solar power from thousands of miles away from the Ningxia energy base to Zhejiang, with a maximum daily power transmission of 160 million kilowatt hours, making the vision of "coal flowing from the air and electricity coming from afar" a reality.
As one of the first pilot projects for digital converter stations in China, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power has applied new technologies such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, 3D modeling, and Beidou positioning at the Shaoxing converter station, integrating automated collection of equipment monitoring data to achieve remote intelligent inspection of equipment, centralized monitoring of data, and automatic push of fault handling strategies. The application of new technologies has enhanced the ability of operation and inspection personnel to control equipment, ensuring the long-term safe and stable operation of the converter station.
Based on the concept of the "West East Power Transmission" main artery of Shaoxing converter station, and in combination with the analysis of the informationization status required by the control center, Ambes participated in the construction of the main control room, laying a solid foundation for the informationization construction of the command center, promoting the later development to break through institutional and mechanistic bottlenecks, improving the policy support system for expanding domestic demand, and substantially implementing the expansion of domestic demand. On the LED screen in the main control room, the digital converter station panoramic video fusion system is running. The system can display visible light images of the entire station equipment in a single image, synchronously displaying operating condition information such as infrared temperature measurement data of the converter transformer square, DC field, and converter valve.
Due to the shift in annual inspection time, after the completion of this maintenance work, the project will face the test of long-term operation conditions of "one and a half years" for the first time. Digitization will provide important impetus for the continuous operation of the Lingshao DC project.
